Soprano Karen Cook is active as a choral artist with ensembles across the country including the Berwick Chorus of the Oregon Bach Festival, sounding light, Audivi, LancasterChorale, Detroit Concert Choir, the Baroque on Beaver Festival Chorus, Mariners' Church of Detroit Choir, and the Toledo Opera Chorus. This season, Karen is thrilled to make her debut with Beyond, Spoleto Festival USA, The Union, and 21V. She has appeared as a soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Bach's Magnificat, Schubert's Mass in G, and Vaughan Williams’s Serenade to Music. Karen lives in Ypsilanti, MI with her husband, Matt, and seven other ladies:  two dogs, four chickens, and a hedgehog.
