Blake Rosser

MM Choral Conducting

Blake Rosser (He/Him/His) is the Junior and Senior High School choir director within the Redford Union School District in Redford Township, Michigan. Blake has a passion for creating a choral environment where all styles and genres of music are welcome and performed. Blake's choirs have scored First Division scores in both classical and specialized Solo & Ensemble events in Michigan and Illinois. In addition to his classroom teaching, Blake founded Vox Unitatis (formerly the Oakland County Chamber Choir), an auditioned twenty-four member chorus comprised of fellow music educators focusing on Renaissance, Baroque, and 21st Century choral music.


Blake holds the Bachelor of Music degree in education, Magna Cum Laude, from Oakland University where he studied under the baton of Dr. Michael Mitchell and Dr. Gregory Cunningham. Following his studies at Oakland, he completed the Master of Music in Choral Conducting degree from Western Illinois University with Dr. Brian J. Winnie. As a graduate assistant, Blake conducted the Western Illinois University Singers - the flagship ensemble - the newly formed Chamber Singers, and the chancel choir at First Christian Church of Macomb, Illinois. Blake is currently continuing his studies in conducting and piano with Dr. Brandon Waddles.
